A Collaboration between UA Presents, Broadway in Tucson and the Tucson Botanical Gardens to Bring Virtual Concerts in the Gardens.
Tucson, Arizona — On May 14, you’ll be able to enjoy the first of four episodes of beautiful virtual concerts from the Gardens featuring local musicians thanks to a collaboration between UA Presents, Broadway in Tucson and the Tucson Botanical Gardens (TBG). These virtual concerts will be posted on TBG’s YouTube channel every Thursday evening at 6:00pm PST. A direct link to the performances can be found on the websites of TBG, UA Presents and Broadway in Tucson.
Mario Di Vetta, General Manager of Broadway in Tucson says, “The work that UA Presents and the Tucson Botanical Gardens do throughout the year has always been exceptional providing unique and tangible opportunities for Southern Arizona. I’m thrilled that Broadway in Tucson is playing a small part in collaborating with these two institutions in a virtual setting while providing content and access to our community featuring local artists.”
Michelle Conklin, Executive Director of TBG, “This partnership is one that just makes sense. We’re thrilled to work with these two great organizations with the purpose of providing something special for the Tucson community and beyond.”
Chad Herzog, Executive Director of UA Presents, “For the last 25 years, UA Presents has been bringing artists from around the world to Southern Arizona. As we look towards our future, redefining our work and our direction, we are excited to partner with the Tucson Botanical Gardens and Broadway in Tucson to take Tucson to the world. Our businesses are built on bringing people together, making the idea of “social distancing” particularly challenging for us to come to terms with. Together we are reframing the conversation, swapping out “social” for “physical”, and inviting the talent found here in our community to connect with Tucson and the rest of the world.”
The featured artist for each concert will be announced on the three organizations’ social media platforms the week of the concert.
