Brian Lopez Music is an internationally-acclaimed singer/songwriter from Tucson, AZ. A classically trained guitarist, Lopez has toured as a solo artist, with his psychedelic cumbia/rock band XIXA, and as a sideman for many renowned artists such as Calexico, KT Tunstall, Giant Sand, and more.
And what better place for this performance than the heart of Tucson? Formerly La Cocina Restaurant & Cantina, this Tucson eatery, venue, and gathering place has recently renamed themselves LaCo, representing love and community, both foundational aspects of what they strive to do. LaCo’s efforts to provide meals to individuals who have found themselves unemployed and unable to afford food continue to inspire.
Please help fund Brian’s fourth studio album by donating to him directly. Funding the production of this album is a great opportunity to help our local arts economy thrive in a time when musicians are working twice as hard to earn their living.

The Tucson Studio is thrilled to present The Rifle in Centennial Hall. Originally the bedroom recording project of front woman Nelene DeGuzman, now a powerhouse psychedelic three piece the Rifle manages to be both detailed and roaring at once. Inspired by the extremes of Sonoran Desert and riding successive waves of creativity, The Rifle have released three extraordinary albums, available wherever you stream. We had a wild night of rock and roll in Centennial Hall, and we’re thrilled to finally share the electric energy.

The best words to describe this performance and album are Shaun’s:

“This is an album about a man who once thought that through his passion, he was destined to have all of his dreams fulfilled, but in reality that did not happen. He decided to give up on his passion and pursue other interests and though he was successful, he could not deny the fire, the passion left within him. Even though he had not recorded in nearly a decade he decided to make an album with one of very few people who still believed in him. On this record you can hear the struggles of love and passion, social commentary, family tragedies that he endured and even the recorded struggles of not practicing his art for so long. To Phrase Sole “Bottom line: It’s all art” which is what he forgot along the way and eventually made it back to. Please enjoy.
